Your home in the Monferrato, Italy
Hills, villages and houses with character in UNESCO wine country, between Turin, Milan and Genoa.
More than a holiday destination: a way of life
The Monferrato is a hilly area of Piedmont, in north-west Italy, around the town of Casale Monferrato. Since 2014 part of it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site for its vineyard landscapes. It is a place of stone farmhouses, villas with views, village houses and properties with land, roughly 75 to 90 minutes by car from Turin, Milan and Genoa.
Compared with better-known areas such as the Langhe or Tuscany, the Monferrato is quieter and generally more affordable, while offering the same mix of wine, food, history and countryside. Many buyers come here for a second home; more and more choose it to live year-round.
